August

Quick trip to the Bay Area for Y Combinator's family day. Chloe flew for the first time ever!

We stayed in a cute hotel in front of the bay. We walked around and went to a Korean American fusion type restaurant. We had a bacon tasting plate, bibimbap, Korean fried chicken, and two types of desserts. Our walk was windy and cold so we stopped at Ghirardelli's for hot chocolate and ice cream. There is always room for dessert. I tend to order dessert first when we go out.

Jared gave us a tour of his office. We went to RH next door and saw the beautiful store.

Milo and Mario rode their first Waymo. They loved the self driving car.

Milo is getting braces (Invisaline). Mario got a haircut. We went to see Jerry Seinfeld. Milo made some money painting house numbers around the Sugar House area.

We went to see Hamilton for the first time live! We love the musical and everything Lin Manuel Miranda does.

Zion

We met Jared's parents at Zion National Park. We took them to our favorite hikes. The boys had a wonderful time with their grandparents teaching them to speak like Gen Alpha.

We did the Narrows at Zion National Park. I have a new found hate for rocks. My toes are all bruised.

Back to School

Mario and Milo are ready for another year. Mario is going to 11th grade and Milo is going to 8th grade. They both have different styles. Milo likes to dress very trendy and Mario enjoys dressing more business casual.

When they go to school, I go through their room and clean everything. I donate their extra stuff and most of the time they don't even notice. From my view, a clean and organized room makes it more easy to deal with all the work they have to do. Mario and Milo have very challenging classes and both of them have ADHD in opposite sides of the spectrum. Cleaning their room, and organizing everything including their clothes is my contribution to their journey.

After the first week, we had a pool party at our house. There were 25 teenagers in our pool. It was a hit and they had a great time. Milo also broke his big toe by hitting his friend's shoes. I bought Mario jeans and he doesn't like them at all. Oh well.
