February 2026

This month has been incredible hard for me, physically and emotionally. I got very sick, and I also had the unfortunate confirmation that some people can be jerks regardless of how well you have treat them. Isn't that just human nature? I bought myself this product to use around the house and kill any lingering viruses. Does it work? I don't know for sure but it gives me peace of mind and sometimes, that's half the battle.

Jared bought himself and me a massage chair for Valentine's Day.

Mario is part of our ward choir. I haven't been able to attend practice because I've been so sick, and my body isn't healing as fast as I 'd like. Mario sings beautifully; he is growing up into the most amazing young adult.

I passed my Managerial Financial Accounting Class! I really didn't think I was going to make it, but I did. I am so proud of myself! Traveling, health issues, emotional letdowns, and depression couldn't stop me.

The are my new boots to help with my legs. I struggle with poor circulation, and these boots really help support my lymphatic system.

I am still in shape. I work out every day, and I stay consistent with my scripture reading, my Master's program, and my cognitive therapy to help me become a better version of myself. It is exhausting, but If I don't do it for me, who will?

Volleyball Season

I am exploding with pride because Milo made the high school volleyball team team! It feels like a full-circle moment for me; I used to play volleyball back in high school, and now I officially get to be a Volleyball mom. I am getting into the spirit of things by feeding the entire team and coaches, twice this week. Milo is also preparing for a very productive summer; he'll be working at the high school giving tours to all the fans of the hight school musical. I am so incredible proud of the hardworking young man he is becoming!

Snowboarding

Milo has been part of a nonprofit program called SOS, which encourages minorities to participate in winter sports like snowboarding and skiing. For the last three years, Milo has been visiting different resorts around Utah to improve his snowboarding skills. Mario was also part of another program called Ski Utah. It is similar to SOS but for adults, and since Mario is 18 now, he was able to participate. He went to Deer Valley and has really discovered a love for skiing.

I am a skier myself (sticking to greens and blues), but I had never tried snowboarding. The SOS nonprofit hosted a parent weekend, inviting one parent to learn how to ski or snowboard. I wasn't too keen on going because of my bad knee, but I couldn't resist. If not now, then when? As we speak, I am getting older and my body isn't as flexible as it used to be. Well, I did it! I even have video to show how amazing I did on the second day. The first day was rough and exhausting, but they provided us with a new outfit, a private instructor for our group, snacks, lunch, and even a free pass to come back!"

Mario was skiing on his own. He has an EPIC pass and was having such a good time.

Mario also brought his guitar and performed at the resort. He made some money!

Galantines with my cookbook club ladies

Our lunch at the resort. Mario wasn't part of the program but everyone loved him. He got discounted lunch prices!

We usually have Olive Garden after our winter sports. The second day, we went to China town and had some street tawinises food. I also saw they have a new Korean skin spa in Chinatown! I can't wait to check it out.

This is my instructor Sara C. By the end of the second day, I was the only parent left. I understood everything she was asking me to do but my body did whatever it wanted to do.

I was reading my scriptures last week and this quote spoke to me. We can't be living in the past. We learned from the past, but that it. I have learned that life has cycles and every cycle has its purpose. After we complete those cycles, we need to move on because if not life will keep hitting us in the head until we finally listen.
